Holiday Chalet Website Design
Case study: a direct-booking website for two lochside self-catering chalets at Carrick Castle, Argyll, with live availability and online booking.
Carrick Chalets — Self-Catering Booking Website
Carrick Chalets offers two self-catering chalets at Carrick Castle, on the shore of Loch Goil in Argyll - each sleeping four, each with a large balcony looking out over the loch and mountains, and one with its own wood-fired hot tub. With only two units, every booking that comes direct rather than through a listings site matters, so the brief was a site that lets a guest check dates and book there and then.
What We Built
- Booking built into the homepage - check-in, check-out and guest selection right under the hero, so availability is one step away rather than buried on a separate page.
- A page per chalet - each chalet presented on its own page with its description, sleeping layout and nightly price, so guests can see the difference between them - including which one has the hot tub.
- A guest account area - a login for guests to come back to their booking.
- Everything about the stay - a "Your Stay" section covering facilities, FAQs, things to do nearby and the local scenery, answering questions before they turn into emails.
- Guest reviews - reviews shown on the site itself, alongside the chalets they describe.
